§ SAALCK Directors' Council Meeting
MINUTES
SAALCK
Thursday, November 11, 1982, 1-3 p.m.
KLA/SELA Conference, Louisville
The directors and subcommittee representatives met together from 1-1:45 to hear a report from Gail Kennedy and Suzanne LeBarron on the implementation of the state network report. Following this discussion, the directors met from 2-3 p.m. Those in attendance were: Ken Barksdale (representing Ernie Weyhrauch), Jack Ellis, Don Lyons, Marry Ellen Rutledge, Earl Wassom and Paul Willis.
The existing subcommittees were discontinued by vote of the directors. Future needs will be addressed by the appointment of "task-force" type committees as opposed to standing committees.
A discussion of the state network proposal took place. It was agreed that a SAALCK network task-force might be desirable in the future.
Jack Ellis was selected as the new chairperson of SAALCK with Ed Strohecker of Murray as vice-chair.
The next meeting was scheduled for E.K.U. on Wednesday, April 13, 10:30 a.m. This coincides with the KLA Academic Section meeting in Richmond.
